    what did you do before you shut down the computer last time?

    If you don’t remember or don’t know, then just re-install the windows XP;

    If you installed a driver last time, go to the safe mode to remove the drive;

    If your computer was infected by virus last time, re-install the windows XP;

    If you just installed a new card/adapter, then shutdown the computer and unplug them;

    …….

    So what did you do last time?

    The most likely cause is a bloated registry which has become the home for all kinds of useless bits and pieces of data. Whenever any change is made to the system settings or a program is installed or uninstalled, a new entry is generated in the registry. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There is a multitude of useless bits and pieces to be removed.Parts of uninstalled programs,parts of incompletely installed programs,dead drivers and many other things. clean your registry and remove all the useless data fragments and no longer needed information to fix the freeze error! I should like to commend Registry Easy http://make-a-computer-run-better.com to you ! You can try ! Good luck!

    Will the computer start in safe mode? This can be done by tapping F8 as your computer is booting up. Once in safe mode you can properly diagnose and fix your system.

    One way to do this is scanning your computer with an excellent registry cleaner. If your system won’t startup properly then there is certainly something wrong with the registry startup commands and DLL’s.

    Try a free scan of your computer and see if there are any errors you can fix.

    The most common cause of computer freezes is a corrupt registry.
    Corruption within your registry keys, registry classes, and registry settings are the most common causes of Windows error messages.
    The Computer registry is a database that stores all of your computer
    settings. The computer registry becomes more complex as you use your computer. The more programs you use the greater the chance your
    computer registry will develop errors and become bloated over time. Without cleaning the registry on a regular basis it is very likely that your PC will freeze.

    Cleaning the Windows registry improves the performance of your computer and will reduce the number of PC freezes. The Registry cleaner cleans the registry and frees up Windows registry space.

    Completely clean your windows registry with a few clicks of the mouse
